In this article, we'll explain how to claim, edit your company profile, and upload a pitch deck on Dealroom:

  • Start by signing up with your company email, which prompts you to claim ownership of your company’s profile.

  • Click the pencil icon at the top right of your company’s profile page to begin editing various data points such as finance details and tags.

  • Select the data type you want to edit, make your changes, and click ‘Apply’ to save your edits.

  • To upload a pitch deck, click on the ‘Notes’ feature. Here, you can add text, images, YouTube links, and Pitch Deck links. Save your information by clicking ‘Save’.



Creating company profile

Profiles are used by founders, VCs, and analysts on a regular basis to stay informed on company developments, track investments and more. They can be easily accessed and viewed by Dealroom users, so be sure to keep your company profile up to date.

Creating a company profile can only be done if you are a registered user.

You can create your free account here. Don't worry, it takes less than 2 minutes. If you need help creating a free account, check out this article.

After signing in, search for your company name in the lookup bar at the top of the page. This will display a list of similar company names and at the top, an option saying "Can't find your company? Add a company". Click on the add it now button and fill in your company information.

Tip: Remember to add yourself to the company team. This will allow you to make any necessary updates whenever needed.


Claiming a company profile

Step 1: Logging into the platform


Do you see outdated information on your company profile? Claim your company profile and update the data immediately. Before claiming the company profile you must first log in to the platform or create an account.

⚠️ Make sure that your email address domain and website domain are the same. If they are not the same, please contact our support team via the support chat (bottom right) or send us a message here.

Step 2: Connecting to your company profile

Once you have logged in, search for the company profile using the search function at the top of the page.

Once in the profile, click the edit button on the top right of the profile.

Once in the profile, click the edit button on the top right of the profile. You can add yourself to the team by clicking on the Add yourself and make edits button.

Editing a company profile

Update your company profile as your company grows! Editing and updating a company profile allows you to keep information current and accurate, while also allowing investors and potential clients to find you.

There are two ways to edit your company profile. You can choose between accessing the profile through the account settings or by searching for the company name in the lookup bar.

Step 1: Access your company profile

To access your profile through the account settings click on your name (or picture) on the top right corner of the page.

Click on the "Your companies" button and click on the company name. This will redirect you to your company profile.

OR

Find your company profile using the search bar on the top of the page. After you have found your company, click on the name and you will be redirected to the company profile.

ℹ️ Can't find your company in the first few results?

Click on See more results at the bottom of the search. You will now see all search results with the name you have entered.


Step 2: Edit your company profile

Once you are on your company profile you can start editing the information by clicking on the pencil button on the right-hand side.

This will display a window with all the editable sections of your company profile. You have the option to update your profile details like the profile picture, company name, address, financials, funding rounds, team, etc.

⚠️ Fields that can be only edited by admin users:

  • Team section (removing/editing)

ℹ️ Adding a person without an existing Dealroom account

When adding someone without a Dealroom account to your company profile, an automated email will be generated inviting the person to confirm they are part of the team.
