Creating a free account

Now that you know what is, the next step is to create an account.

To sign up click on the 'signup' button on the top right corner and fill in the details or sign up with LinkedIn.

After successfully creating your account, a verification email will be sent to your registered email address. Open the verification email and click on the link in your email to make sure your account is verified.

Clicking on the link will redirect you to the Dealroom where you can add yourself to your company and confirm your business email. You can also choose to do this at a later stage.

Verifying is important—it guarantees you access to the Dealroom platform and all ecosystems.

Note: Didn’t receive your verification email in your inbox? Ensure your email address is spelled correctly, double-check the Spam or Junk folder or refresh your inbox several times. If this doesn’t solve the issue, you can reach out to our Support team using this page.

Managing Account Settings

The account settings allow you to keep your account and personal details up-to-date, manage your subscriptions and change your email or password.

Through your profile and account settings, you can edit your username, email, and user type. To do so, click your name on the top right corner of the page, then on the Account button. To edit either of the sections click on the edit buttons behind each of the settings.

Tip: To ensure you receive the most up-to-date information, updates on your saved companies and to receive daily updates - make sure to turn on “Daily updates” within the email settings.

Using the manage companies tab, will allow you to enter your experience, investments and companies.

Your account settings include your email address, password and email settings. To change each of these settings click in the designated boxes and enter the new information. After you have entered the information click on the Change E-mail or Change Password buttons, depending on which you wish to change.

Personalise your dashboard (Premium Users)

As a premium user, you can personalize your Dealroom experience from the very first page

Cards are the content blocks you see in the dashboard, which by default include hot startups, hot scaleups, recommendations, company updates, new matches, suggested searches, recent rounds, suggested lists, new startups, hiring startups, latest reports and the taxonomy map.

Adding cards

To add a new card, go to your dashboard then click on the Edit Dashboard button on the top right corner of the page. Choose a card to add and click on Add Card.


Tip: cards that can be added multiple times are those which you can add filters to. These include map charts, hot scaleups, new startups, hiring startups, hot startups, hot companies and new companies.

Adding filters to your cards

Continue customizing your dashboard further by adding filters to the cards. Click on the pencil icons on the corner of a card and, just like you would do when making a query, choose the filters that are most relevant to you and click on the Apply button.

Removing cards you don’t need

Don't want a specific card anymore or want to go back to the default settings? Sure, no problem. To remove a card simply click on the X button on the right corner of the card, yes it's that easy.

Going back to the default settings of the dashboard is just as easy. To do so click on ··· and then on Reset my dashboard.
