IP Verification is an additional security feature designed to help protect your Coinmetro account from unauthorised access.
When enabled, Coinmetro will monitor new IP addresses attempting to log in. If a new or unfamiliar IP address is detected, you will be asked to review and authorise the login via email before access is granted. This helps ensure that only trusted devices and locations can access your account.
π Why Use IP Verification?
Enabling IP Verification adds an extra layer of protection by:
Alerting you when a new device or location tries to access your account
Preventing unauthorised logins even if your password is compromised
Giving you full control over who can access your account
It works alongside other security features like 2FA for stronger account protection.

π© How IP Verification Works
Once enabled, whenever a new IP address tries to access your account:
You will receive an email notification
You will be asked to approve or deny the login attempt
Access will only be granted after your confirmation
If you do not approve the request, the login will not proceed.
π How to Disable IP Verification
If you are using a dynamic IP address or prefer not to use this feature, you can disable it at any time.
However, for security reasons, you must have 2-Factor Authentication (2FA) enabled for sign-in first before you can turn IP Verification off.
Once 2FA has been enabled, just follow these steps:
Ensure 2FA is enabled for sign-in
Go to your Security settings
Locate IP Verification
Switch the toggle off to disable it
