Updated this week

Requirements

To use submodel templates, it is necessary that you have set up the core services (see _RS).

Generate a Submodel

Following these instructions will provide you with valid JSON which you can copy and paste when creating submodels.

  1. Navigate to Data Exchange Assistants and select Share data set.
The data exchange assistant is displayed.

  2. Select the dataspace where your Semantic Hub core service is stored and select Continue.
    The Submodel Creation is displayed.

  3. Select Create new Submodel and then select Select schema.
The available semantic models are displayed.

  4. From the list select a suitable semantic model.

  5. Select </> Use JSON template to load sample data into the JSON View area.
The JSON View is filled in with the submodel template using the semantic model from the steps above.

  6. Fill in the required values. The required values are displayed on the right side within a colored box.

  7. When you have finished your entry, you copy the JSON to the clipboard. You can paste it later.

  8. In the top left corner select Back to close the data exchange assistant.
