What are Shell Descriptor Submodels?
Shell Descriptor Submodels are standardized data models used in the Asset Administration Shell (AAS) framework to describe the properties, behavior, and interfaces of digital twins in Industry 4.0.

Add Shell Descriptor Submodel
Navigate to Components.
Select the required DTR component.
From the DTR menu on the left select Shell descriptors.
From the list select the required shell descriptor.
Select Add new shell descriptor submodel. The shell descriptor submodel is set up in the dialog.
Edit the shell descriptor submodel:
You can edit the plain text.
You can upload a file.
Finish by selecting Save.

To edit a submodel descriptor, choose the submodel descriptor from the list.
Select Edit.
You can edit the plain text.
Use the option Switch to the simple editor, to show a simplified view of the submodel descriptor. This view provides syntax highlighting, a structured view and a convenient editing mode.
Use Reset to undo all changes.
Finish by selecting Save.
Delete Shell Descriptor Submodel
To delete a submodel descriptor, choose the submodel descriptor from the list.
Select Delete. Confirm the removal.

Removing an item cannot be undone. Before removing, make sure the item is not in use.
