Wizards: Get Data Set
Updated over a week ago

The Simple Data Exchange Wizards is a very useful tool to execute quick Data Exchange in a few simple Steps.

The "Get Data Set" feature in the wizard allows you to retrieve data from a partner EDC with a series of guided steps. This document will take you through the entire process.

Step 1: Start the Process

  • Navigate to the Wizards Page

    • Choose ‘Get Data Set’.

This will open the Description page, outlining the steps required to get data from a partner EDC

Step 2: Select the Consumer EDC

  • Choose your Consumer EDC

    • Select the Consumer EDC you want to use to access the data and proceed to the next step.

Step 3: Select the Provider EDC

Option 1: Search by BPN

  • Choose the Provider EDC

    • Select the Business Partner from the dropdown list.

  • The associated EDC connectors of the provider will then appear. Choose the required EDC connector from the list, and the associated assets will be displayed. Select the desired asset and proceed.

Option 2: Enter Catalog URL

  • If you have the EDC URL of your business partner, you can enter it directly into the catalog URL field, ensuring you add the DSP endpoint at the end of the EDC URL (/api/v1/dsp). Also enter the provider's business partner BPN in the ‘counter party BPN’ field. The associated assets will be displayed. Choose the needed asset and proceed to the next step.

Step 4: Initiate Negotiation

  • Provide Negotiation Details

    • Fill in the ‘Contract Negotiation Description’ text field with the required details. Also, enter the requester’s name or some ID in the ‘Requestor’ field.

  • Initiate the Negotiation

    • Click on the ‘Initiate Negotiation’ button. At this step the EDC will check if you as a consumer has the permissions to view the data asset you’ve chosen.

    • After initiating the negotiation, please proceed to the next step.

Step 5: Initiate the Data Transfer

  • Provide Data Transfer Details

    • Fill in the ‘Data Transfer Description’ text field. Also, enter the requester’s name or some ID in the ‘Requestor’ field.

    • Click on the ‘Initiate Transfer’ button to start the transfer.

  • If successful, you will be able to view and download the data results.
