A Consumption Tree is a mechanism show to organise the distribution of a particular consumption quantity on-site on a hierarchical basis.

A consumption Tree can be created for the following quantities;

  • Apparent Energy

  • Energy

  • Mass

  • Reactive Energy

  • Volume

  • Volume (Normalised)

  • Volume (Standardised)

For example, an Energy consumption tree can be created to show the distribution of Electricity across a site. In this example, the Quantity would be Energy and the Subject would be Electricity.

Building a Consumption Tree

The following is an example of an electricity consumption tree (in builder mode)

As you can see, we have dragged the specific assets (in this case electric meters) from the list of DataSources in the right-hand menu and drag them in hierarchical order.

Viewing your Consumption Tree

Once you have finished building your consumption tree, by viewing more you can understand where energy is going by digitally representing energy distribution and unmetered loads.
