How to add a new Opportunity
Click the "New Opportunity" button at the top right of the Opportunity Register screen.
This will launch the "Create an Opportunity" modal. Give the Opportunity a name and select the site to which it is relevant.
Once created, the modal will change to a detailed view of the Opportunity, allowing you to fill out the details related to it. Fill out as much as possible, as these can be edited over time and help you better understand the Opportunity.
Some of the fields are filled out automatically some of which are editable and the others not editable:
Status: Defaults to "Idea" but can be edited as it progresses through the statuses.
Ranking: "Medium"; change it as applicable.
Assignee: Defaults to the user who created the Opportunity but can be assigned to any CoolPlanetOS user.
Creator: The user who created the Opportunity. It cannot be changed.
Created Date: The date the Opp was created. It cannot be changed.
