Charts created in Explore are packaged into Widgets that can be inserted into Dashboards. Any chart created on Regular DataGrids can be used in Dashboards; those created in Fixed Interval DataGrids cannot.

Editing a Dashboard to Add Existing Widgets

Select the 'Edit' option from the 'Actions' menu to open a dashboard in Edit mode. You must be the Dashboard owner or co-owner to have edit access.

Adding an Existing Widget into a Dashboard

If you have created Charts in Explore, they can be added to your Dashboard as Widgets that you can customise and move around to create a layout of your choice. Click on the 'Select an Existing Widget,' button at the bottom of the dashboard while in Edit mode to get started.

Select Widget

This will open a drawer showing a list of all widgets you have created in Explore. This list can be searched with the search bar at the top of the list.

Add Widget

Once you have found the Widget, click anywhere on the row to add it to the Dashboard. A widget is always added below the last widget by default. The same widget can be added multiple times.

In this example, the user has clicked twice on a widget, placing two instances of the same widget, one below the other.

Save Dashboard

Close the drawer to return to the dashboard. Remember to save changes by clicking on the Save Dashboard button.
