The first step in creating a new widget is to use an existing (or create a new) container for all of the data and calculations that you want to use to “drive” the visualisations in the widget. We call this container a workbook.
Clicking on the “Create a New Widget” button at the bottom of any dashboard will take you to the workbook page where you can create a new workbook or select an existing one from which to create your widget.
