Envelope and document details

This article applies exclusively to the Standard envelope, and its rules do not necessarily apply to Egypt ACI envelopes, HMM eBL, MPCI filings or ADC filings.

You will receive an automated email notification every time you receive a new envelope into your CargoX account (you can change this setting with rules and filters).

Once you sign in to the CargoX Platform at https://cargox.digital, the view defaults to your Inbox folder, where all the envelopes and documents in your possession are shown.


Each line in the central part of the screen represents one envelope with the following details:

1. Name of the envelope sender

It tells you from whom you've received the envelope.

2. Sender’s company logo

Logo is visible if the company has set it.

3. Attached documents

Presented by document type and the document ID.

4. Message from the sender

In case of a longer message only the first part is visible.

5. Tags

Presented if the sender has set them.

6. Timestamp

Indicates when the envelope was received.


By clicking on the envelope, a pop-up with more details about the envelope will appear:

7. Document preview

The preview of the uploaded document.

8. Uploaded by

It tells you who is the issuer of the document.

9. Current owner

It tells you who is the current owner of the document (not always presented).

10. Release agent

It tells you who is the release agent of the document (not always presented).

11. Document action buttons

Depend on the document type and your role with this document, you can see the following buttons:

  • Download allows you to download the current document.

  • Audit log a record of everything that has happened with a document

  • Destroy displayed to you if you are an issuer of this document and the document was returned to you.

  • Release cargo displayed to you if you are a designated release agent for this document.

12. Envelope action buttons

At the bottom of the page, you see action buttons related to the envelope. These depend on your role and state of the envelope. There can be the following buttons displayed to you:

  • Seal

  • Transfer

  • Delete draft

  • Forward

  • Return to sender

  • Archive

  • Download all documents

  • Close the envelope
