Company network

Updated over a week ago

The company network feature lets you manage multiple companies under a single parent account. This centralizes oversight and administrative control across all company locations. The network consists of two member types: headquarters and child companies. The headquarters is the company that invites companies to join their network.

Info

  • Only verified companies can act as headquarters and invite companies to their company network.

  • Each child company can be connected to only one headquarters company. A headquarters company cannot serve as a child company of another headquarters.

  • Only users from headquarters with company network permissions can view and manage company network settings.

  • Headquarters can view child companies' statistics but cannot edit their details or access their folders (inbox, sent, drafts, etc.).

  • Headquarters can manage child company users. Child company administrators receive notifications whenever changes are made to their users' accounts.

Step-by-step guide to connect child companies:

1. Configure network settings (headquarters)

Visit the gear icon (⚙) | Company network | Network global settings section. By enabling the toggle switches, you configure:

  • User management: Control whether child companies can manage their own users or restrict this ability to headquarters only. When restricted, child companies cannot add new users—headquarters must handle all user management for each child company.

Danger

Companies with subscription plans should carefully control whether child companies can manage their own users or if this responsibility should remain with headquarters, as allowing child companies to add users independently can result in unforeseen costs for headquarters.

  • Contact sharing: Companies in the network share contacts with each other (available with Standard plan subscription—visit the Subscriptions menu to manage your plan).

Note

All network settings can be adjusted later through the Company network settings page.

2. Start the connection process (headquarters)

Visit the gear icon (⚙) | Company network section and click on the Invite new child company button.

3. Choose connection method (headquarters)

There are three ways to invite a company to your network, based on their CargoX Platform registration status and contact list presence:

  • Not registered on the CargoX Platform: Select the Invite by email tab and enter the email address of the person you want to invite.

  • Registered on the platform, but not in your contacts: Select the Invite by email tab and enter the email address they used to register on the CargoX Platform.

  • Registered on the platform and in your contacts: Select the Choose from existing contacts tab, choose the company, and click the Send invite button.

Tip

Before sending an invitation, check whether the company is already registered on the CargoX Platform. If they are registered, use an email address from an existing CargoX Platform user within that company to avoid creating duplicate companies. To maintain clean records, send only one invitation per company you want to add to your network.

Warning

Child companies inherit the same subscription plan as their headquarters. When headquarters has a Standard subscription plan and adds a child company, headquarters covers the subscription fees for all child company users. However, if headquarters has a Free plan while the child company has a Standard plan, the child company will lose its Standard features when its subscription period ends and cannot renew.

Info

Your invitation has been sent. Please wait for the recipient to accept.

4. Start the acceptance process (child company)
