How early should I arrive at the station to catch my Eurostar train?

Written by Hebe

For journeys to and from the UK, Eurostar recommends arriving at the station in advance of departure as follows:

  • London St Pancras: 75 minutes

  • Paris Gare du Nord: 75–90 minutes

  • Brussels Midi: 45–60 minutes

  • Amsterdam Central: 75–90 minutes

  • Lille Europe: 60 minutes

  • Rotterdam Centraal: 45–60 minutes

For journeys between Belgium, France, the Netherlands, and Germany:

  • Arrive at least 20 minutes before departure and be ready to board 5 minutes before the train leaves.

If you’re departing from Gare du Nord (on routes not heading to the UK), Eurostar recommends arriving at least 30 minutes before departure and being ready to board 10 minutes before the train leaves.

Top tip: During busy periods, it’s wise to allow a little extra time!
