This feature enhances the current ‘add drug’ functionality in the Atlas eMAR App. It allows you to reinstate a medication when adding a new record to a resident’s profile if an archived record already exists Some things to note about this feature: •Users will not be able to continue with the add drug process when an archived record for the same medication has been identified. •User are still able to reinstate medication directly through the archived drug list within the resident profile on Atlas Central. •From version 9.0.14 and above the "add drug" function will become an online only feature, an Internet connection will be required to add a new medication via the Atlas App to ensure the relevant safety checks can be completed.

STEP 1

Log in to the Atlas eMAR App and locate the resident profile which you intend to add a new medication to. Click Add Drug and enter the medication name. You will be presented with a list of medication to select from which match your search, select the item. The system will perform a check on the archived medication list to see if the item select already exists. If an archived record is found a warning will be displayed prompting you to reinstate the previously created record.

If you wish to reinstate the item, select Yes. You will be redirected to the Edit Drug screen to update the medication details such as dosage and schedule before requiring a witness to confirm the changes made. Once a user has witnessed and confirmed the changes made, the item will be reinstated on the resident medication list.
