This screen is designed to show all prescriptions that are "active" in your pharmacy. It includes everything from a newly scanned prescription, to a prescription with the items ready for packaging.
Filters
At the top you can filter by search type depending on what you wish to do.
If you want view all the prescriptions that need Data Entry, click on Ready to Enter
If you want to focus on the checks only then click Ready to Check
After Data Entry, some items may get marked as "ND (Not Dispensed)" and will not proceed any further. These includes items where the patient may have passed away, or the patient is allergic to the prescribed medicine. Click Prescriptions with an item marked ND to view these items. They remain here for 30 days.
List
The list contains basic information about the prescription. Some of the columns will be blank if the prescription has just been scanned or faxed.
You can double click to view the prescription and start entering the data if needed.
There are a few indicators on the right hand side:
Checks- This highlights if the prescription has any outstanding clinical checks required before it can continue to the dispensing stage.
Verification - During the Checks process, if you want to park the prescription for the time being (i.e. if you need to call the GP/Patient for more information), you can do this in the check by clicking "Verification needed". This will update the Verification column to allow you to keep on top of outstanding checks
Email and Fax Details
The email and fax information at the top right is unique to your pharmacy, and are dedicated for your use to send prescriptions into the system.
NB: You can provide this information to Care Homes if you wish, and they can fax / email prescriptions directly into the system
