To return stock follow this process;

1. Select Manage stock icon beneath the stock header

2. Select return stock icon.

3. You will then need to select add item.

4. Fill in the required fields: Select the Resident whose medication you are returning, the medication name from the drop down list. Insert the amount of medication you are returning, and then choose a reason for returning the stock from the list given.

5. Once you are happy that the return is complete and accurate, click confirm.

5. When you have finished entering all the items that need returning onto the returns screen, review the information to ensure the list is correct and select complete returns.

6. This will clear the returns list from the device then generate and upload a printable copy of the returns to your homes Atlas Central account.

Tips

  • When returning controlled drugs, these need to be booked out of the Controlled Drugs record book as usual before you can return them to the Pharmacy.

  • If a resident is deceased, the stock needs to remain in the home for 7 days in case it is requested by the coroner however the items should be added to the returns list to allow you to remove the resident from the device.

  • If the medication has been over-ordered then the user should do a stock take to ensure that all the stock levels are correct and to reduce wastage of medication.

  • Some items will automatically be added to the returns list when marked as disposed of during administration.
