You may be requested to stop a medication in the home by the prescriber or as a result of a change to therapy, when stopping a medication on the Atlas device its important to note that it will be immediately stopped and removed from the device and the medication label will not longer be valid.
To stop medication on the Atlas device follow this process;
1. Log into the Atlas device and select the view residents icon, then select the resident from the list. Select the medication bar at the top of the screen.
2. Choose the medication you wish to stop from their list and click the details icon. Select the edit drug icon at the top of the screen. Go down to the set stop date and click the no icon to change this to yes.
3. Select next, review and request a colleague to witness the stopping of the medication.
4. Once the medication has been stopped the device will need to be synchronised.
