There are times when the next due date of medicines need to be changed at the Care Home. These can only be adjusted to a particular day, not by round.
The following are examples when you may need to adjust the next due date:
If you have used paper MAR charts to record an administration for a weekly medicine, Atlas eMAR will not know this and will not automatically adjust the next due date. So you will need to change the next due date by following the steps below.
If a patch that is administered on a weekly basis falls off, and is replaced the next due date will need to be changed.
If a medicine that is given weekly has not been given on the day it was meant to and the GP has confirmed that it can be given the next day.
If you want to add a new medicine with a non-daily dosage to Atlas eMAR.
To adjust the next due date follow this process;
1.Log into Atlas eMAR and select the view residents’ icon, then select the resident in question. Click on the medication bar near to the top of the screen and select the medication you wish to adjust from the list.
2. Select the details icon from the drop-down menu and then click on the adjust next due option at the top of the screen. Select the date you wish the medication to prompt as due next, and click update.
3. Check the next due date is display correctly on the drug details screen. Once completed the Atlas device will need to be synchronised.
