Introducing the New Ardoq Experience

Meet a simpler, smarter, more powerful Ardoq

Updated today

The New Ardoq Experience represents a major evolution of the Ardoq platform, focused on making it easier to navigate your architecture, work with data, and communicate insights across your organization.

Rather than altering the depth of what Ardoq can do, the new experience makes Ardoq’s powerful capabilities easier to access, navigate, and apply in real-world scenarios. It's designed to remove friction from every core journey: from the way you navigate and model data, to how you surface insights and communicate impact across the organization.

Why we are introducing a new experience

As organizations continue to rely on architecture to support decision-making, the way teams interact with their data becomes increasingly important.

Through working closely with organizations using Ardoq in their day-to-day work, we identified opportunities to make the experience more intuitive and accessible. Navigating the platform, bringing new users into the experience, and communicating insights across stakeholders can all benefit from a clearer and more connected approach.

The New Ardoq Experience is designed to support this shift. It brings together improvements across navigation, modeling, and insights to make it easier to access information, collaborate across roles, and apply architecture in real-world scenarios.

What’s changing

The New Ardoq Experience introduces a more consistent and streamlined way of working across the platform.

You will notice:

  • A clearer and more intuitive navigation structure, making it easier to find and access what you need

  • A redesigned homepage that provides a more relevant starting point and easy access to key insights

  • A visual and contextual approach to modeling, allowing you to explore and update data directly within views

  • A simpler way to bring data into Ardoq, with no-code integrations and AI-assisted import that make it easier to turn external sources and diagrams into structured architecture data

  • A more powerful Discover experience, making architecture easier to access for business users while simplifying administration

  • More flexible ways to explore and communicate insights, with capabilities such as dashboard filters and conditional formatting that help you tailor data to different stakeholders

  • A more integrated use of AI across workflows, enabling you to ask questions in natural language, uncover insights faster, and reduce reliance on manual analysis

These changes focus on improving how you move through and interact with the platform, without changing your underlying data or structure.

What capabilities are included

The New Ardoq Experience brings meaningful improvements across how you work:

Guided experiences

A redesigned homepage and updated navigation provide a clearer entry point into the platform, helping you quickly access relevant data, reports, and actions. The homepage surfaces key insights, highlights what needs attention, and gives you direct access to commonly used assets, while the updated sidebar and top navigation make it easier to move between different parts of the platform.

Effortless modeling and data management

The new in-view data modeling allows you to explore and update architecture directly within visualizations, reducing context switching and making it easier to work with relationships.

The redesigned Component Overview Page brings together all relevant information about a component in one place, while improvements such as inline editing and faster reference creation streamline everyday modeling workflows.

It is also easier to bring data into Ardoq. With Import Builder, you can connect external systems using a no-code approach, and with the AI Visual Importer, you can transform diagrams and unstructured inputs into structured architecture data.

A more powerful Discover experience

Ardoq Discover provides a dedicated, intuitive way for business users to explore architecture data. It makes it easier to navigate across domains, search for relevant information, and understand relationships without needing deep modeling expertise.

At the same time, Discover is now integrated within the core platform, making it easier for administrators to configure access, manage data, and maintain governance without duplicating work.

Clearer insights and communication

Improved dashboards and reporting capabilities make it easier to communicate architecture in a way that supports decision-making.

Features like dashboard filters allow you to explore the same data from different perspectives without creating duplicate dashboards, while the improved conditional formatting helps highlight trends, risks, and priorities more clearly across visualizations.

AI-accelerated workflows

AI capabilities are integrated directly into the platform, making it easier to explore data and uncover insights.

The AI Chat Assistant allows you to ask questions in natural language and receive context-aware answers. The AI Query Builder helps translate natural language into structured queries, while the Foundation Insights Agent identifies data quality issues and inconsistencies across your architecture.

Together, these capabilities help reduce manual effort, improve data quality, and make advanced analysis more accessible for everyone in the organization.

How is the new experience introduced

The new Ardoq experience is introduced in a controlled and flexible way, allowing each organization to adopt it at their own pace.

For existing customers, the experience is available through an opt-in model, supported by a six-month transition period. This allows you to explore the new experience, get familiar with updated workflows, and decide when to roll it out across your organization.

For new customers, organizations created after April 8, 2026 will have the New Ardoq Experience enabled by default and will start directly with the latest version of the platform.

The experience is enabled through feature toggles in Organization Settings, allowing you to introduce different parts of the experience independently.

What to expect

Below are some of the most common questions and considerations when adopting the New Ardoq Experience.

Q: Can we control how we roll out the new experience?

Yes. The new experience is introduced through feature toggles, allowing you to roll it out in stages.

Many organizations start with the Core experience for admins and architects, then enable Discover for contributors once teams are familiar with the new workflows.

Q: What happens to our data and setup?

Your data, workspaces, and metamodel remain unchanged.

All existing components, relationships, viewpoints, and dashboards continue to work as before. The changes focus on how you interact with your architecture, not how it is structured.

Q: What happens if we’re already using the Discover beta?

If you have already opted in to the New Discover Experience beta, your current functionality remains unchanged.

You will continue using the same Discover experience, including navigation and workflows introduced during the beta. The beta label is removed, but the experience continues as is.

Updates to the Core experience, including the new homepage, are controlled separately, allowing you to enable them independently.

Q: How is AI used in the new experience?

AI capabilities are integrated into everyday workflows to support how users explore and understand architecture.

This includes asking questions in natural language, generating queries, and identifying data quality issues, helping teams move from data to insight more efficiently.
