Step-by-Step Guide

Prerequisites:

  • You must have a Discord server where you hold Administrator rights.

  • A Discord channel must already be configured on one of your media accounts in Affilizz.

Configuring the Discord Bot

  1. Go to Affilizz and open the "Settings" menu for the Discord server where you want to install the bot.

  2. Navigate to the "Bots & Integrations" section.

  3. Click on the "Add a Bot" button.

A panel will open, prompting you to fill in your Discord server details:

  • Copy the server URL and paste it into the "Server URL or ID" field.
(πŸ’‘ Affilizz will handle the rest, extracting the necessary part of the URL to isolate the server.)

  • Repeat the process by copying the URLs of each channel where the bot will be authorized to operate.

  • Give your bot a name: The bot will publish using this name in the selected Discord channels.

  • Select the language the bot will use to respond.

  • Click the "Install Discord Bot" button. You will be redirected to the installation page within the Discord interface:

  1. Select the server where you want to install the bot.

  2. Check all permissions (πŸ’‘ All permissions are required for the bot to function properly.)

  3. Confirm that you are a human πŸ˜‰

  4. The installation is complete!

  • Open your Discord application. You will receive a message from your new bot confirming that everything is set up correctly. This message will also provide instructions on how to use the bot.

Manage Command Permissions

Prerequisites: You must have the "Manage Roles" permission to configure command permissions.

  1. Open your Discord application.

  2. Navigate to the server settings.

  3. Go to the Integrations menu.

  4. Select the Affilizz bot from the list.

To grant User A permissions for the /copy command:

  1. Select the /copy command in the bot's settings.

  2. Add User A as an authorized user for this command.

Now, User A will be able to use the /copy command.

Request a price comparison table for a product using Your Bot

Type the command /prices followed by the merchant link of the product in the link option.

The /prices command is only visible to users with the "Manage Server" permission.

For example, if a user wants to check the prices of the iPhone 15 they found on Amazon across all existing merchants, they just need to follow these simple steps:

  • Type the /prices command in a Discord channel where the Bot is authorized.

  • Copy and paste the Amazon product URL into the link field.

  • Confirm the command.

  • The Bot will then generate a price comparison table for the product, pulling data from the various available merchants.

  • (Optional) If you want to make the price comparison table public, you can click the Share button.

Publish an Affiliate Link/Deal with Your Bot

  1. Select a channel on your Discord server where the bot is authorized.

  2. Type the command /deal.

  3. Enter the following details:

    • Description: (e.g., "Amazing Refrigerator at 40% Off").

    • Merchant URL: Copy and paste the product's merchant link.

    • Observed Price: Enter the current price of the product.

  4. Confirm the command!

πŸŽ‰ The affiliate link is now published!

Track Your Performance

In Affilizz, go to the "Affiliate Content" menu. There, you can find all the links published on your Discord channels, organized as posts.

(πŸ’‘ Discord-related posts are identified as "Discord - Week XX". A new post is automatically created each week if at least one link is published. Each post is divided into sections, with each section representing a day of the week.)
