Once you load into the map and download a dataset, you can customise various elements that determine how the dataset is displayed.
To start, apply one or more datasets and navigate to the Layers tab in the Explorer panel. Let’s look at an example using EV Charge Points. Click the > arrow next to the dataset you wish to configure to explore its details:
In this example, the EV charge points are represented as small black dots on the map. When zoomed out over a larger region, these dots may be difficult to see.
Using the configuration tools in the Layers tab, you can increase the radius by adjusting the stroke width slider, making each dot more visible.
Tip: You can also click the three dots next to any attribute (e.g., radius) and select a data field to base the attribute on. For instance, for EV charge points, you could set the radius to correspond to voltage, so that higher-voltage charge points are represented by larger dots, making them stand out more compared to lower-voltage charge points.
This adjustment makes the data points easier to view. The elements that can be configured depend on the type of dataset. For example, the radius setting is only available for datasets using points/dots, and would not apply to datasets that use colour-coded polygons.
After making your changes, you can save or reset the configuration using the buttons at the bottom of the Layers interface. You can then export the dataset with your applied changes.
