Issue:

After being invited to Ads Defender and creating an account, no ad accounts are visible in the workspace.

Cause Analysis and Solutions (Quick Overview):

Issue

Solution

Why This Happens

Empty Workspace (No ad accounts connected yet)

Confirm with your team if ad accounts have been linked to the workspace.

If the workspace is new, no ad accounts will appear until they are connected.

User role set as Member, not Admin

Request that an Admin assigns ad account access via Workspace Management.

Members do not automatically see all ad accounts and must be individually assigned.

Wrong Workspace selected

Check the workspace dropdown in the left sidebar and switch to the correct one.

Users can be members of multiple workspaces, and sometimes the wrong one is selected by default.

Detailed Steps to Resolve:

1. Verify if the Workspace is Empty (New Setup):

  • Contact your team or workspace owner to confirm if any ad accounts have been connected to Ads Defender.

  • If the workspace is new and empty, no action is required. Ad accounts will appear once they are linked by an Admin.

2. Check User Role (Member vs. Admin):

  • If other team members can see ad accounts but you cannot, it is likely a role-based access issue.

  • Ads Defender distinguishes between:

    • Admins/Owners – Have full access to all ad accounts.

    • Members – Must be individually granted access to specific ad accounts.

3. Request Access from an Admin/Owner:

  • Contact an Admin or Owner of the workspace and ask for access to specific ad accounts.

  • The Admin should follow these steps:

    1. Go to Workspace Management in Ads Defender.

    2. Open the Accounts tab.

    3. Select the ad accounts to assign by checking the box next to each account.

    4. Click the icon with the plus sign and person silhouette.

    5. Select the user who needs access and confirm.

4. Check for the Correct Workspace:

  • Ads Defender allows users to be members of multiple workspaces. If no ad accounts appear, you may be in the wrong workspace.

  • In the left sidebar, click the workspace dropdown at the top.

  • Select a different workspace from the list and verify if the ad accounts appear.

5. Admin Role Verification:

  • If you need permanent access to all current and future ad accounts, ask for an upgrade to Admin role.

  • Admin users have full visibility of all ad accounts without needing manual assignment.

Important Notes:

  • New Accounts Delay: If ad accounts were recently connected, allow some time for them to sync with Ads Defender.

  • Workspace Management: Only Admins and Owners can manage access through the Workspace Management tab.

  • Multiple Workspaces: Users can switch between different workspaces using the dropdown in the sidebar.

  • Role Changes: Admins can adjust user roles at any time under Workspace Management > Users
