Bulk Upload Spreadsheet Guidance.

Whilst completing the bulk upload spreadsheet you will see the following headings. Fields marked with an * are mandatory and must completed.

Record ID *

This must be completed with consecutive numbers in each cell. (I.e. 1,2,3)


PO Number *

The Purchase Order number that will appear on your invoice.


Centre *

Your centre number (please ensure you double check whether it is an 0 or a O).


Qualification *

This is the EAL qualification code including the pathway if relevant.


CandNO

This is the learners 8 digit candidate number if the learner is already registered. Please leave blank if the learner is not registered with EAL.


First Name *, Initial, Last Name *

This is the learners name as you wish it to be displayed on their certificate. Initial can be left blank if not required.


Gender *

Please use one of the following codes (1-4):


Birth Date *

Please enter this as DD.MM.YYYY


ULN

This is the 10 digit Unique Learner Number if applicable.


Ethnicity *

Please use one of the following codes (1-17):


SCN

The 9 digit Scottish Candidate Number if applicable.


PAR *

Please use one of the following codes (01 - 09):


Pubs *

This should have Y or N. If you require publications to be ordered with the registration, please populate the field with 'Y' if you do not require publications please enter 'N'.

*Publications are subject to additional fee's, check the EAL pricelist for further details.


MOD

This would only be populated with a 'Y' if the learner is an MOD candidate.


DIP

This would only be populated with a 'Y' if the learner is registered with the Diploma Aggregation Service (DAS)


SUB

This field should be left blank.


UNIT1, UNIT2 *

The unit fields should should include ALL required units the learner is to be registered on including mandatory units and test units. The units must be entered as the correct EAL code shown in the qualification manual.


Once the spreadsheet has been competed save the file to your computer as an Excel Workbook.

Once saved, go back into the spreadsheet and save again; under 'Save type as' select

text (tab delimited) - this is the file that will be uploaded onto Online Services.
