You need to link a debit card to your account to start making purchases with Zilch. You can do this in the app:

Why do I need a linked debit card?

Zilch is a virtual card that you can use both for debit (Pay now) and credit (Pay over 6 weeks or Pay over 3 months) purchases. It needs to be linked to a debit card so any Zilch purchases, instalments or fees can be collected from your current account. Learn more about how you pay for Zilch purchases.

I can't link my debit card

If you're having issues linking your debit card successfully, please check the following:

  • Your card isn't expired

  • Your card is registered to the same address as your Zilch account

  • You're not trying to link a credit, pre-paid or corporate card

Can I link a card from a joint account?

Yes, you can, but the debit card must be your own and show your name (you can't link your partner's card).

Can I change my linked debit card?

You can change your card any time, but just so you know, we'll place a block on your account if your debit card is changed too often – this is to keep your account safe from suspicious activity.
