We have a few exciting updates to announce this month, including our new Statistics tool and brand new asset options in Projects!
New assets in Projects | The number of assets available in Projects has expanded to include almost 40 options, including storage, onshore wind, and more.
The available list aligns with the assets used by UK Power Networks in their Distribution Future Energy Scenarios and will make it easier to share all the different energy initiatives a local authority is working on.
To access the list, just create a new Project and click ‘Add or remove assets’ to add any of the new technologies to your Project. |
Introducing: Statistics | The new Statistics tool allows you to easily query any dataset to generate key information such as counts, averages, minimums, and maximums from data columns, helping you quickly extract insights from LAEP+ data without needing to export it.
Access it from the top-right corner of the Data Explorer: |
New dataset: Off Street Parking Availability | Off Street Parking Availability, modelled by our data specialists at Advanced Infrastructure, is now available in LAEP+. Use this to find optimal sites for on-street chargers, or to identify households where a private EV charger may be feasible.
|
Data Explorer Enhancements: Pre-set data selections | Do you often find yourself downloading the same combination of datasets in the Data Explorer?
Users can now pre-save a selection of datasets and download them all in one click. Simply click the “+” next to ‘Pre-saved data selection’ in the Data Explorer (below the data folders) and select the datasets you want to include.
This makes it quicker and easier to retrieve the data you use most frequently.
|
Data Explorer Enhancements: Portfolio visualisation in the Data Explorer | You told us it would be helpful to view portfolios directly on the map in the Data Explorer - and now you can.
Your portfolios will appear in a folder titled ‘Portfolios’, allowing you to visualise them alongside other datasets. Portfolios can also be added directly to projects, making it easier to deploy assets onto selected buildings within your portfolio. |
Data Explorer Enhancements: Export shared local datasets | A highly requested feature from our users: you can now export user-uploaded datasets that have been shared with you within LAEP+.
Simply add the dataset to the map, open the Layers tab, and select Export to download the data. Please note that this will depend on the permissions granted to you by your local admin user. |
Data Explorer Enhancements: Search by UPRN | In addition to searching for locations by postcode, you can now also search using UPRNs. Simply enter a UPRN into the existing search bar in the Data Explorer and the map will zoom directly to that specific building, making it easier to locate and analyse individual properties. |
Admin users only: Manage local dataset permissions by user group | Previously, admins could manage visibility of local datasets on a case-by-case basis. Now, local datasets can be assigned to permission groups, allowing admins to update access for multiple users at once, making data management faster and easier. |
As always, you can find ‘how-to’ guides and video guides in the Knowledgebase, as well as Live Chat support.
