How to close a position on Shares or ETFs (OMI) on the web platform?

  1. Go to the "Open Positions" tab at the bottom of the screen.

  2. Select the stock or ETF position you want to close.

  3. To the right of the position row, there's a red cross—clicking it closes the entire position.

  4. If you want to partially close, click the three dots next to the red cross and select "Partial Close." In the window that appears, adjust the volume (number of shares/ETFs) you want to sell, and then confirm the transaction.

🚩 Important information regarding closing OMI positions (Stocks and ETFs):

  • Standard investing in OMI instruments involves purchasing shares or ETFs, and closing the position is achieved by selling them.

  • However, short selling is available for selected instruments. In this case, closing a short position is achieved by buying back (purchasing) the instrument.

  • You can close all or part of the position by specifying the number of instruments you wish to sell (or buy back in the case of short selling).

  • The transaction is executed at the current market price (or according to the parameters of the selected order type).

  • The FIFO (First In, First Out) principle applies – if you have multiple tranches of the same instrument, the ones that were opened earliest are closed first. This means that it is not possible to select a specific tranche to close; the system automatically settles the transaction in the order in which the position was opened.
