A custom domain allows you to launch your Jebbit Experiences on your own domain instead of Jebbit's. This feature helps to white-label your Jebbit launch links so they are fully on-brand with your company (e.g., myquiz.jebbit.com becomes myquiz.mydomain.com), enables you to set first-party cookies, and allows you to run and optimize Meta (Facebook) campaigns against events on Jebbit. By default, you can set up one custom domain, and multiple domains can be configured with assistance from Jebbit Support.
Before you begin
Ensure you own the domain and subdomain you plan to use. Jebbit does not purchase domains on your behalf.
Verify that a DNS record is tied to the subdomain you request. If not, Jebbit will be unable to verify it.
Identify an Admin user for your Jebbit account. Only Admins can request custom domains. If you are not an Admin, contact one for assistance or reach out to Jebbit Support to identify an Admin.
Requesting Your First Custom Domain
Navigate to your account Settings by clicking the dropdown arrow on your brand menu in the top right corner of the platform.
Select Domain Configuration on the left-hand side. If you do not see this option, you are likely not an Admin.
In the Custom Domain field, enter your custom domain request in the format: subdomain.yourcompany.com (e.g., quiz.mycompany.com). Use a general subdomain label (like "quiz," "surveys," or "experience") for broad applicability. Jebbit does not accept root-level domains (e.g., mycompany.com).
Click Request Custom Domain.
Allow a few minutes for Jebbit to process the request. Jebbit will then display two CNAME records that your team needs to add to your web host server.
Configure the CNAME records on your DNS server exactly as shown in Jebbit.
Once the records are added, return to the Domain Configuration page in Jebbit. Jebbit automatically checks if the records are configured correctly, which can take a few minutes.
To expedite the validation, you can click Validate Now.
Once validated, your custom domain is set up. New Jebbit launch links will use your custom domain with the Jebbit campaign ID appended.
Requesting Additional Custom Domains
To set up more than one custom domain, click the Need more custom domains? Request more button on the Domain Configuration page.
This action sends a notification to Jebbit Support.
Jebbit Support will make a small adjustment to your account settings, and you will then see the option to configure a new custom domain.
Follow the same steps as outlined for requesting your first custom domain to add the additional domain.
After configuring additional custom domains, you can apply them to specific campaigns upon the first publish of that campaign.
When you first publish a campaign, you will be prompted to name the iteration and select the relevant custom domain from a dropdown.
The custom domain selected at the first publish is permanently associated with the campaign and cannot be changed later. To use a different custom domain for an existing published campaign, you need to make a copy of the campaign and publish the copy.
Next steps
Once your custom domain is active, it is recommended to replace any existing Jebbit launch URLs or iframe snippets with the new ones that use your custom domain. Existing links will continue to work, and all historical and new data will still point to the same reporting dashboard based on the campaign ID.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will adding a custom domain impact my existing launch links?
No, adding a custom domain will not affect currently active campaigns. Only new launch links will use the new custom domain format.
Do you accept root-level domains?
No, Jebbit does not accept root-level domains (e.g., mycompany.com). You must include a subdomain in your request (e.g., quiz.mycompany.com).
I don't see the option to request a Custom Domain.
Only Admin users have the permission to request custom domains. Contact an Admin on your account for assistance or reach out to Jebbit Support to identify an Admin.
I only see the option to set up one custom domain. How do I add another?
All accounts are configured for one custom domain by default. Contact Jebbit Support to add more custom domains to your account.
I don’t see the option to assign a specific custom domain to my campaign.
You can assign a custom domain when you first publish a campaign. This option is not available for campaigns that have already been published. To assign a custom domain to an existing campaign, duplicate it and publish the new copy.
Can I change the custom domain for an existing campaign that is already published and collecting consumer data?
No, the custom domain can only be set upon the first publish and cannot be changed afterward.
