Version history in Sana Create allows you to keep track of the different iterations of your content, providing an overview of changes made over time. This feature is instrumental in maintaining the integrity of your work and ensuring that no valuable information is lost during the editing process.
Additionally, version history serves as a valuable reference for collaboration, allowing users to compare, merge, and track changes made by different contributors over time.
Accessing version history
Navigate to the specific course you want to view the version history for, and click on the three-dots on the upper right side.
Click on 'Version history' located in the menu.
Understanding Version history
In the Version history panel, you will see a chronological list of all changes made to the content. Each entry will display:
The date and time of the change.
The name of the user who made the change.
By clicking on a specific version, the changes will be highlighted.
Viewing full submitted history
Sana Create allows you to view the complete submitted history of a course directly within the Version History panel.
In the right sidebar, you can select any submitted version to see what content was changed in that specific version, with the modifications highlighted for easy reference.
Reverting to a previous version
If you wish to restore your content to a previous version:
Go to Version history via the three-dot menu in the top right
Find the version you wish to revert to, you can filter the versions either by card or by entire course.
Choose to either:
Duplicate card to latest version by selecting the menu option via the three-dot menu on the card. This will restore that card in your deck without losing progress on the existing version of the card
Duplicate to new course by selecting the menu option via the three-dot menu on the version selection. This will restore that version of the course without losing progress on the existing version of the card by duplicating it and saving it as a new course copy.
