Where to find Sana Create

Sana Create can be accessed from the Learning Admin Hub in Workday. There, you’ll see a list of all courses you have permission to edit in your organization.

For hub setup, security, and adding submitted content to courses, see the Workday administrator guide: Concept: Learning Admin Hub and Steps: Manage Sana Content in Workday.

Create and edit courses

  • To create a new course, click "Create new". The new course will be opened in the editor.

  • To edit an existing course, click the course title from the list in Create. This will open up the course in the editor.

Submitting content to Workday Learning

When a course is ready, click Submit, then Submit to Admin Hub, to submit the course to Workday Learning. Submitted content appears in the Learning Admin Hub for workers with Learning admin access to add to a Workday Learning course.

To update content that's already in the catalog, edit the course in Sana Create and resubmit. You can't edit Sana content from Workday Learning course tasks.

Editor shortcuts and features

1. A shortcut to your toolbar

Type / to view and insert any of the content blocks available - from text paragraphs to code snippets, and use the delete key to remove them.

2. Undo/Redo changes

When deleting a card, a notification will appear in the bottom right corner, allowing you to quickly undo the action by pressing 'Undo'

3. Hide the card

You can hide cards in the course editor. Hiding a Card can be useful in many different cases, including:

  • Cards that are a work-in-progress

  • Cards that include creator notes

  • Cards with old data that you still want to access

Hide a card by navigating to the course editor and selecting the three dots on a specific card. Hidden cards do not appear in the submitted course and are not counted for completion.

4. Bulk actions

You can choose multiple cards in the editor sidebar by holding in cmd on Mac and ctrl on Windows and perform any of the following actions:

  • Duplicate/delete or copy all cards

  • Add all selected cards to a new module

  • Change color theme for all selected cards (after selecting the cards, choose a theme from the topbar)

  • Drag and drop to move cards in the sidebar

💡 Pro Tip: Need to transfer cards between courses quickly? Simply select all the cards you wish to move and click "Copy." Then, navigate to the target course, find the card above where you want to insert the copied cards, click on the three dots, and select "Paste."

5. Quickly change colors on columns and tables

Enhance your course's appearance by customizing the colors in columns and tables. To change a column's theme, hover over the column to find the theme button. For table cell customization, hover over the table to access the three-dot menu and select "Cell theme."

💡 Pro Tip: Did you know you can insert images in columns? This allows you to create a structure of image + text which is fully customized. Give it a try yourself and see the difference.
