We like to make your maintenance and monitoring service as easy and predictable as possible. Hereās how our scheduling process works and what you can expect:
š 1. Routine Maintenance Planning
At the start of every month, we generate all Preventative Maintenance (PPM) visits due for the following month.
Your maintenance is normally scheduled for the same time each year to keep your system compliant and reliable.
For Police-monitored systems, we carry out two visits per year (biannual maintenance).
š¬ 2. Booking Process
Youāll receive email invitations to confirm your appointment:
Timing | Type of Email | What It Means |
Start of month | āYour Service Booking ā Proposed Dateā | We propose a date and time slot. |
Mid-month | āReminder ā Service Bookingā | A follow-up reminder if we havenāt heard back. |
End of month | āService Deemed Completeā | Sent if we havenāt been able to confirm a date this cycle. |
š” Customers without email will receive printed letters by post.
š 3. Appointment Times
We offer two convenient time windows:
Morning: 8:30 am ā 1:00 pm
Afternoon: 1:00 pm ā 5:00 pm
Your engineer will confirm which slot applies.
ā 4. Confirmation
Once you confirm your proposed date:
Your appointment status changes to Scheduled (Confirmed).
Youāll receive an email confirmation for your records.
If the proposed time doesnāt suit you, simply reply to the email or contact service@wilsonalarms.co.uk and weāll find an alternative.
š 5. Missed or Deferred Services
If you donāt confirm by month-end, the task will be marked as āDeemed Completeā and rescheduled for the next cycle.
However, please note that delaying maintenance can increase the risk of undiagnosed faults or battery failure.
š§ 6. Efficient Route Planning
We schedule engineers by geographical clusters, ensuring the same engineer usually returns to your area at the same time each year. This keeps travel times low and your appointments more predictable.
