💡 What You Need to Know

  • Tip money is considered a gratuitous reward and is classified as taxable income by the State Revenue Service (VID).

  • This is detailed on page 12 of their official guidance under the section “With Personal Income Tax Applicable Incomes” ("Ar iedzīvotāju ienākuma nodokli neapliekamie ienākumi").

✅ What’s Changing?

To make things easier for you, Paynt will take care of both the declaration and payment of the income tax on all tip earnings, starting from August 1, 2025.

That means:

  • You no longer need to declare your tip income manually.

  • All taxes will be handled on your behalf to ensure full compliance with Latvian tax regulations.

📱 Where to See Your Tip Earnings

In your Urocked member app, you’ll be able to see:

  • The total amount of each tip

  • The tax applied

  • Your final payout amount
