How do I get started with Inspections?

Learn how to set up inspection templates in Trackunit Manager to digitalize the inspection process of assets.

Updated yesterday

Inspections are available exclusively as an Early Access Beta. Reach out to your Sales Representative for more information.

With the Inspections add-on in Trackunit Manager, you can replace paper-based pre-use inspections with digital records.

This helps you follow site rules, keep assets running smoothly, and improve safety. By being proactive, you reduce delays and protect business profits.

Note: To enable inspections, you must assign an inspection template to an asset in Trackunit Manager. To set up inspection templates you must have an Admin or Fleet admin role in Trackunit Manager. If you do not have the rights, contact your company’s account admin.

Operators complete inspections on-site using Trackunit On, they need to be invited to your organization and have accepted the invite to the On app.

With the Trackunit Go app you can add assets and assign them a QR or barcode, so operators can scan and identify them for inspections.

After an inspection template is created, you can assign the template to specific assets and you can check the responses to the inspections directly in Trackunit Manager.

You can also set up notifications to automatically notify selected contacts (like technicians) when an asset has failed the inspection and needs to be looked at.
