How do I share visibility of my assets?

Learn how to share asset visibility with other connected accounts in Trackunit Manager.

Updated this week

You need to be account admin or fleet admin to share asset visibility.

With this feature, you can:

  • Share data from an asset temporarily or permanently between two accounts of the same organization

  • Give visibility (not ownership), ensuring your asset data remains unaltered by others

Grant asset visibility to another account

You must be the owner of an asset to share its visibility with another account.

  1. Log in to Trackunit Manager

  2. Go to the Administration page

  3. Navigate to the Ownership & Visibility tab

  4. Select one or multiple assets you wish to share visibility of

  5. In the top right corner, click Share

  6. Select the account you want to grant visibility to

Note: If you select an account outside your account hierarchy, you will receive a prompt to acknowledge that the assets will not be visible on the selected account until accepted by the recipient account

  7. Review your selection before confirming

  8. Click Confirm

Unshare asset visibility to another account

If a connected account no longer needs access to your assets, you can unshare visibility at any time.

  1. Log in to Trackunit Manager

  2. Go to the Administration page

  3. Navigate to the Ownership & Visibility tab

  4. In the top bar, click Filter

  5. Select Visible To and choose the account you want to unshare with

  6. Select the assets you want to unshare

  7. Click Unshare

  8. Review your selection

  9. Click Confirm

Once successful, a green confirmation box will appear in the bottom-right corner of your screen.

💡 Tip: If you’re interested in trying out a simplified flow for unsharing visibility, please reach out to your Customer Success Manager.
We’re currently rolling out a new simplified flow to selected customers only and would love to hear your feedback about it.
