What Are Quantity Declarations?
Quantity declarations in Tracezilla let you assign specific quantities to your Stock Keeping Units (SKUs). This is essential for:
Excise duty reporting (e.g., sugar, alcohol, ice cream mixes)
Packaging compliance (e.g., extended producer responsibility, Das Verpackungsgesetz)
Deposit tracking
Allergen declarations
By adding quantities to SKUs, you can:
✅ Generate quantity reports in seconds for regulatory or financial purposes.
✅ Automate cost tracking (e.g., excise duties, packaging fees, deposits) in purchase/sales orders.
✅ Ensure accurate financial overviews in Tracezilla.
How to Enable Quantity Declarations
Quantity declarations are available for all subscription types. If you haven’t used them yet:
Click your company name (top-right corner) → Company Settings.
Go to Extensions (left menu).
Enable the Quantity Declarations feature.
Creating Quantity Declarations
Once enabled, manage declarations here:
Company Settings > Structures and Classifications > Quantity Declarations
Key Features
Overview: View all declarations (filterable by name, reference, or tags).
Create New: Click + New Quantity Declaration (top-right).
Reuse Quantities: Save time by copying quantities from an existing declaration (use the Use quantities from dropdown).
Pro Tips
🔹 Organize with Tags: Add tags (e.g., #excise, #packaging) to group declarations by purpose.
🔹 Naming Conventions: Use clear names (e.g., "Alcohol_Excise_2026") for easy filtering.
Adding Quantities to SKUs
Go to Warehouse > Stock Keeping Units.
Click the blue button (⋮) on any SKU → Quantity Declarations.
Filter declarations by:
Keywords (name/reference)
Category/component/tag
Enter quantities in the SKU’s primary unit of measurement.
⚠️ Note: Quantities must match the unit used in the declaration (e.g., liters, kg).
