These are the rules for your Futures Instant account. Because Futures Instant has no Challenge, they all apply throughout the Earning Phase. Two outcomes are used:
Daily Pause — trading stops for the rest of the day, but your account stays active.
Hard Breach — the account is closed.
Exact limits depend on your account size and are shown on your dashboard.

Maximum Drawdown (Hard Breach)
Your maximum drawdown is $2,000 on a $50,000 account and $3,500 on a $100,000 account. It's calculated on your end-of-day (EOD) balance and works on a trailing-to-static model: the drawdown level trails your highest EOD balance upward until it reaches your starting balance, then locks there and stops trailing. If your balance falls to the drawdown level, the account is breached.
Example ($50,000 account):
• Starting balance $50,000 → initial drawdown level $48,000.
• You end the day at $51,000 → level trails to $49,000.
• You end a later day at $52,000 → level reaches $50,000 (your starting balance) and locks there — it won't trail higher even if your balance keeps rising.
Daily Pause (Dynamic)
Your Daily Pause starts at $1,200 on a $50,000 account and $2,200 on a $100,000 account. It is dynamically recalculated daily as 60% of your best accumulated EOD profit to date. It only ever increases as your profit grows.
If your loss for the day reaches your Daily Pause, your open positions are closed and trading is paused until the next day. Your account is not breached.
Example ($50,000 account):
• Until your accumulated EOD profit passes $2,000, your Daily Pause stays at $1,200 (60% of $2,000 = $1,200).
• Your accumulated EOD profit reaches $2,300 → Daily Pause rises to $1,380.
• You lose $300 the next day (accumulated profit $2,000) → Daily Pause stays at $1,380. It never decreases.
• Your accumulated EOD profit reaches a new high of $2,900 → Daily Pause rises to $1,740
Maximum Contracts
The number of contracts you can hold depends on your account size:
• $50,000 account: up to 4 Mini or 40 Micro contracts.
• $100,000 account: up to 8 Mini or 80 Micro contracts.
Consistency
20% Consistency Rule (Blocks Payouts)
Your biggest profitable day must not exceed 20% of your total profit before you request a payout.
The rule resets after every approved payout.
Example:
• Biggest profitable day $600 ÷ 0.20 = $3,000 total profit required.
Profit Target (Payout Requirement)
To request a reward, you need at least $3,000 profit on a $50,000 account or $6,000 on a $100,000 account. If you haven't stayed within the 20% Consistency Rule, your profit target may increase. Your dashboard always shows your current profit target.

Prohibited practices
Hedging — Opposing Positions (Strictly Prohibited)
The Trading Pit prohibits hedging across accounts to ensure fair trading conditions, accurate performance evaluation, and compliance with CME exchange standards. Traders are expected to maintain genuine market exposure at all times.
• What's not allowed? Holding opposing positions across accounts you own or control, or coordinating opposite trades with another trader.
• Does it include related instruments? Yes, correlated products count too (e.g., NQ vs. MNQ, ES vs. MES), even with different contract sizes.
• What are the consequences? Position closure, account liquidation, profit removal, and possible permanent bans, even if unintentional.
Micro-Scalping (Prohibited)
The Trading Pit prohibits micro-scalping because it exploits execution mechanics rather than reflecting genuine market participation. Traders are expected to use realistic, scalable strategies that can be applied consistently in live markets.
• What is micro-scalping? Targeting very small price moves with large position sizes and holding trades for only a few seconds.
• Is all scalping prohibited? No. Short-term trading based on market conditions with realistic execution is allowed. It's prohibited when results depend on execution mechanics and wouldn't transfer to real markets.
• How is it detected? Automated monitoring flags accounts where, for example, over 50% of profits come from trades held 15 seconds or less, or where ultra-fast entries and exits are combined with disproportionate sizing.
• What happens if flagged? The account undergoes manual review. Confirmed violations may result in a warning, profit removal, restrictions, or permanent closure.
High-Frequency Trading (HFT) (Prohibited)
The Trading Pit prohibits high-frequency trading to protect platform stability, ensure fair access for all traders, and support strategies that reflect real-world market conditions. Trading should demonstrate skill-based decision-making rather than speed or technological advantage.
• What is HFT? Automated or algorithmic trading that submits large numbers of orders within seconds or milliseconds to capture small price discrepancies.
• Why is it prohibited? It strains platform infrastructure, creates speed-based advantages over other traders, and can distort execution data.
• How is it detected? Monitoring systems flag exceptionally high order volume, rapid placement and cancellation cycles, and activity inconsistent with manual trading.
• What happens if flagged? The account undergoes internal review. Confirmed violations may result in a warning, profit removal, account closure, or permanent loss of access.
Account Rolling (Strictly Prohibited)
The Trading Pit prohibits account rolling to maintain a fair trading environment and reward traders who show professional risk management and long-term consistency. Each account must be treated as a serious, long-term opportunity, not one of many chances to gamble.
• What is account rolling? Repeatedly trading accounts with extreme risk, breaching limits, then moving to a new account to repeat the same approach, hoping one hits a lucky streak.
• How is it identified? Maximum position sizing without proper risk management, and rapidly cycling accounts to their Maximum Loss Limit before starting a new account.
• What are the consequences? The Risk Team reserves the right to limit or restrict accounts, delete affected trading days, reset account progress, delay or deny payouts, and permanently close accounts.
• What should I do if notified? Reduce position sizes, use strict stop-losses, and focus on steady, consistent growth across all accounts. Contact Compliance & Support via live chat or the Help Center with questions.
