This error message means that the teacher PC cannot connect to the ERS client service which is running on the Control PC.

Make sure that the Control PC is up and running, and that the ERS Client service is currently running on that PC. If that is the case, check the network settings of the Control PC and teacher PC and ensure that both PCs are still connected on the same network.
