MOST IMPORTANT: choose a main device to configures your prep stations
This is when you configure printers to print prep tickets for your prep station (unrelated to receipts).
When using printed prep stations, you need to have 1 main device that is configured to your printers and has the prep station printer jobs set up.
No other device can have the printer jobs set up for printed prep stations.
This main device has to always remain open on the Tebi App
Keep in mind:
When setting up the prep stations printer jobs, the printers needed for these jobs need to be connected on your one main device.
Connecting the printers on more than one tablet will cause printing errors.
Do not use the main prep station tablet for anything else, other than Tebi. Always keep the Tebi App open.
i.e. If you play music on the main prep station device, leaving the Tebi App can cause printing errors.
Do not switch between different apps on the main prep station device.
Do not configure prep stations on a pin terminal, we recommend always using your main tablet/screen.
Note: Sending orders from various devices is unrelated to how the printers are set up, orders are always synced but the control over prep stations has to happen from 1 device.
Receipt printer jobs can be set up on various devices, this is only relevant for prep stations set up.
How to set up printer jobs for prep tickets
In Tebi, printers can be used to print receipts and prep station tickets. You can only set up printer jobs after you have configured printers.
On the Tebi App > Go to Menu > Settings > Printing > Printer selection > Scroll down to view all the various printer jobs available.
Click on the printer job to select the printer that you would like to use
When selected, click on the settings wheel to set the number of prep tickets or receipts you want to print (eg. 2 copies for a kitchen with 1 printer but 2 stations), margin and the font size
Note: it is also possible to print full prep tickets from a digital kitchen display. Set up the printer job for the digital prep station and you will be able to print a ticket from your kitchen screen.
Note: You can send the orders of multiple prep stations to one printer. Simply choose the correct printer in the Printer Job settings.
