Using printed prep tickets
Start by connecting the printer to the internet, configure your printers, and select the printer job that needs to be assigned to that printer.
Important! If you have multiple devices (anything that is more than one tablet) and you are using printed prep stations, you need to have one main device that controls the printed prep stations and never exits the Tebi App (if this device exits out of the Tebi App, then printed prep ticket orders are missed).
*Note: receipts can be set up and printed from different devices.
So, choose one main device on which you want to control the prep stations and set these up:
In the Tebi App > go to Settings > then Printing
Go to the Printer selection > scroll down to view all the printer jobs
Click on the printer job, e.g. Prep station: [name] to select the printer that you want to print these prep tickets.
When selected, click on the settings wheel to set the number of receipts, margin and the font size
Find out more about the printing filters in the section below
Prep tickets will automatically print whenever products that are assigned to the Prep Station are submitted in a Sale. Tickets will also print when products are added, removed or edited in a Sale and when customer and sale details change. See the example below.
Prep ticket customization and settings
Customization of prep tickets
In the Tebi App > Settings > Printing > Customize prep ticket, you can adjust what is shown on the prep ticket. Turn the toggle on or off for each customization you want to see or not.
Staff member name
Time of order
Customer name
Number of covers on the table
Under Ticket number on receipt you can choose the option to add numbers to your prep ticket, these can help keep track of orders. These will also show on the receipt for the guest.
Prep ticket settings
In the Tebi App > Settings > Printing > Prep ticket printing, you can find 2 settings:
Automatically retry failed prints: toggle on means that the prep tickets will reprint if there were any failed prints. Toggle off means you will have to manually reprint any failed printed tickets.
Highlight printing errors on this device with three options: Never, Device sales only, Always
