How to get started with Tebi

Create your Tebi account

This guide walks you through creating your Tebi account and setting up the essentials to start taking orders and payments.

Before you start

Make sure you have your business details ready, including your legal company name, VAT number, and business address. You'll also need your business payment card to verify your account and set up your Tebi Billing.

Create your account

Start by entering your business location and name.

  1. Go to the Tebi sign-up page

  2. Fill in your information and select your country from the dropdown menu

  3. Enter your business name or select an existing business from the list

  4. Click Next

Verify your business details

Review and confirm your business information to ensure your account is set up correctly.

  1. Check your business address and website

  2. Click Edit if you need to make changes

  3. Enter your legal company name exactly as it appears in your official business registry

  4. Select your legal entity type from the dropdown

  5. Enter your VAT number

  6. Read and accept the Terms of Service

  7. Click Next

Pick your tools

Turn on the features you need for your business and skip the ones you don't.

  1. Toggle on POS if you want to take orders and payments through the app

  2. Toggle on Floor plan if you manage tables and need a visual layout

  3. Toggle on Reservations if you accept bookings

  4. Toggle off QR ordering if you don't want guests to order via QR codes

  5. Toggle off Takeaway if you don't offer pickup orders

  6. Toggle on Digital kitchen display to send orders to kitchen screens

  7. Toggle off Printed prep tickets if you don't need printed kitchen tickets

  8. Toggle on Invoicing if you send invoices to businesses or groups

  9. Click Next

Check your products

Review your imported products or upload your menu to get started.

  1. Click Import products to upload your menu from a PDF, image, or spreadsheet (supports Lightspeed and Zettle formats)

  2. Review the pre-created modifier groups like Milk types, Cooking preference, and Allergies

  3. Click on any modifier group to edit options

  4. Click Add modifier group if you need additional groups for toppings or preparation styles

  5. Click Next

Set up your kitchen

Create prep stations and courses to organize how orders are sent to your kitchen.

  1. Review the pre-created prep stations (Kitchen and Bar)

  2. Click Edit on any prep station to change its name or add preparation steps

  3. Click Remove to delete a prep station you don't need

  4. Click Add prep station to create additional stations

  5. Review the pre-created courses (Starters, Mains, Desserts)

  6. Click the X to remove courses you don't use

  7. Click Add course to add new courses

  8. Choose which course-firing methods you prefer: Parallel to send all courses at once, or Manual to send each course when ready

  9. Click Next

Set up payment options

Choose how you want to accept payments, send receipts, and handle tipping.

  1. Toggle on QR payments to accept card payments even when your terminal is offline

  2. Toggle on Cash payments if you accept cash

  3. Toggle off Digital receipt after each payment if you don't want to ask customers for email or QR receipts

  4. Toggle off Physical receipt after each payment if you don't want automatic printed receipts

  5. Toggle on Tipping on payment terminals to let customers add tips when paying by card

  6. Enter your preferred tipping threshold amount (only show tip prompt above this amount)

  7. Click Next

Add payment details

Enter your payment information to activate your account and start accepting payments. The account used here will be used for any billing charges you incur when using Tebi including hardware purchases, payment costs and subscription. This can be updated later by emailing support@tebi.com.

  1. Click Continue to iDEAL to pay via bank transfer, or select Cards

  2. Complete the payment verification (€0.02 charge)

  3. Click Next after payment is confirmed
