What's the difference between a file's download date and upload date?

A file's "Download date" is when it was taken off the tachograph or driver card.

Its "Upload date" is when that same file reached Tachogram.

The Files section shows both, since they're often not the same moment.

    • Tachograph data → Files

Why the two dates can be far apart

A driver might take data off their card or tachograph on one day, then not get around to uploading it to Tachogram until later — for example, if they upload it from a phone app once they're back at base.

The "Download date" always reflects when the tachograph data was actually captured, while the "Upload date" reflects when Tachogram received the file.

Checking both helps you tell a genuine gap in a driver's data apart from data that simply hasn't been uploaded yet.

Where else this shows up

Each file also lists its "Filename", "File size", and "Source" — how it reached Tachogram, for example directly from the web, from the phone app, or automatically via an integration.
