The "Faults" section lists problems the tachograph notices on its own, either with the equipment that tracks a driver's activity or with the card inserted in it.
It's different from the Events section, which covers other things the tachograph flags, such as an invalid card or a failed security check — Faults covers only equipment and card problems.

What shows up as a fault
Two kinds of problems land here:
An issue with the vehicle's tachograph unit, such as its printer, display, or sensor.
Or, a problem with the card itself.
Because the description states which side had the problem, you know whether to check the vehicle's tachograph or the card.
What each fault tells you
Each fault shows a Start time, an End time, a short Description of what went wrong, and the Vehicle it happened on. Because the vehicle is shown right in the row, you can tell which vehicle had the problem without checking anywhere else.
Why it's worth checking faults
A fault that keeps coming back on the same vehicle usually points to equipment that needs a technician's attention.
Each fault also stays on the driver's profile, so you have something concrete to reference if a fault ever gets questioned during a roadside check.
