The Faults section shows technical problems the vehicle's tachograph detected in itself or in a card it was reading — for example a fault in the recording equipment's printer, or trouble reading a card in one of its card slots.

Vehicles → select vehicle → Faults
Each fault shown lists:
Type — what kind of fault it was
Record purpose — why the tachograph kept it on file
Start, End, and Duration
Because these faults come straight from the tachograph itself, they can help you catch an equipment problem early — for example a card slot that has stopped reading properly — instead of finding out about it during a roadside check.
The Type column separates faults into two groups: a problem with the recording equipment itself (its printer, display, sensor, or internal workings), or a problem with one of the cards inserted.
The Record purpose column explains why that particular fault was kept on file, out of the same 8 possible reasons used for vehicle events.
