What are the different types of accounts and users?

Company accounts

Company accounts — also called "business accounts"— are designed for transport and logistics companies that need to manage multiple drivers and vehicles.

It gives you access to all driver and vehicle data in one place and lets you manage downloads, reports, alerts, and users across the whole company.

Admin user

An Admin user has full control over the company account. Admins can change company details, users, permissions, billing, and all main settings. This role is usually for the person who owns the account or handles administration.

Manager user

Manager users which focus on day-to-day work.
They can see drivers, vehicles, dashboards, reports, and alerts (but they can’t change company settings, manage users, etc.).
This role works well for fleet managers, dispatchers, or compliance staff.

Driver user

Driver users have access to the same Dashboard and features as personal accounts. The only difference is that driver users under a company account do not have access to the “Reports” module.

The Dashboard module for personal accounts will show the driver’s own information, such as rest times, uploaded files, card expiration date, and detected infringements.

The will also have a module named Tachograph data, which will show all the data related to them, like their activities, their vehicles used, their driver files, attestations, infringements, etc. This module will show the same sections and information as when company account's managers and admins open up a driver's page.

Personal accounts only show the driver’s own data and don’t give access to data about other drivers or vehicles.

Kiosk (shared user)

Kiosk are a shared user used only for uploading driver card files. Anyone who has the kiosk email and password can log in and upload files.

This is ideal for offices or depots where many drivers need a quick, shared place to upload their files without accessing any company information.

The kiosk doesn’t show any driver data, reports, or history.

Once a file is uploaded, it can’t be viewed from the kiosk. The data becomes available in the company account, and drivers will also be able to see their own uploaded files from their driver user log in, if they have one.

Personal accounts

Personal accounts — also called “Driver accounts” or “Private accounts” — are created for, and used by, one driver.

Each personal account is linked to one specific driver card.

Drivers using a personal account can upload their own driver card files, either through the mobile app, or our web platform.

A personal account will have the Dashboard, Tachograph data, Reports and Settings modules.

The “Dashboard” look the same as for "driver users" under Company accounts.

The “Reports” module for personal account will offer a special selection of reports tailored for individual drivers.

The Settings module will contain their Profile, Alert, Billing, Payments, Report configuration and Compliance manager.

✅ Any user can access the Tachogram mobile app, regardless of their account or user type. To start using it, simply download the app and log in with your usual username and password.
