What is Zapier and how can it help me?
Zapier is a user-friendly online tool that allows you to automate workflows, making them more efficient. Zapier connects and synchronizes actions between different everyday apps and software you use, enabling repetitive processes and redundant tasks to be automated.
Creating "Zaps" between your apps saves time and empowers your employees to focus on what truly matters in your business.
Important Definitions
Zap: A 'Zap' is an automated workflow between (at least) two apps. Zaps consist of (at least) two parts: a Trigger and one or more Actions.
Trigger: The trigger is the initiating event in an app that starts the Zap.
Action: The action is the event triggered in another app.
How do I set up Zapier?
To use Zapier, you need to register for free on their website. Afterwards, you can connect your Superchat with various apps to send automated messages.
In Superchat, click on Settings → Integrations → Explore Integrations → Zapier.
You'll be redirected to a page where you can Create your Zapier account:
How do I create a Zap?
First, log into your Zapier account and click Create Zap in the top left navigation.
Select the platform you would like to trigger the automation (such as Superchat).
Next, select what the Trigger will be.

Say, for instance, you are connecting Superchat, you will need to select your Superchat account at this point and add the relevant API Key.
After that, you just need to select which action from a different platform you would like to run after the trigger (you will likely have to complete a similar setup process to the one above in order to access the other platform's API).
When you have successfully created your flow, you can test the automation. Zapier will usually provide error messages and pinpoint issues within the automation allowing you to troubleshoot in case the flow does not work. Once it successfully runs, you can publish it.
Note: You can turn on/off, view, or edit your Zaps anytime.
How do I create a Zap for the function I want?
If you are having trouble with creating your Zap, it is often best to consult the AI Copilot available in Zapier for advice on how to build the automation you would like.
Alternatively, it is also wise to consult ChatGPT when creating an automation with several platforms, as it can compile information from across all platforms' Help Centres to help you create your desired flow.
