Screenshots are a valuable tool when it comes to problem-solving or explaining something. With a screenshot, you can precisely show what's happening on your screen and get help more quickly. In this article, I'll explain how to easily capture screenshots on your Mac or Windows computer.

Creating a screenshot on a Mac:

  1. Press the Command + Shift + 3 key combination. This creates a screenshot of the entire screen and saves it to your desktop.

  2. If you want to capture only a specific area of the screen, press Command + Shift + 4. This opens a selection tool to choose the desired area.

Creating a screenshot on Windows:

  1. Press the Windows + Print Screen key combination. This captures a screenshot of the entire screen and saves it to your clipboard.

  2. If you want to capture a specific area of the screen, press the Windows + Shift + S key combination. This opens a selection tool to choose the desired area.

☝️ Important Note: On some Windows devices, the "Windows + Print Screen" key combination might not work. In that case, you can use the "Print Screen" key instead.

💡Hint: For our pros - Capturing a screenshot of an entire webpage:

  1. Open the desired webpage in Chrome.

  2. Press the Cmd + Opt + I key combination (on Mac) or Ctrl + Shift + I (on Windows) to open the Developer Tool.

  3. Press the Cmd + Shift + P key combination (on Mac) or Ctrl + Shift + P (on Windows) to open the Developer Menu.
