What you need to know about advertising consent 👇
In Germany, it is a legal requirement for companies to obtain a recipient's consent before sending them advertising via WhatsApp or any other technical means of communication. Consent must be given voluntarily and explicitly. Companies are obliged to give their customers the opportunity to unsubscribe from further promotional communications - even after initial consent.
Therefore, we strongly recommend the use of opt-ins for advertising consent.
How to create Opt-in Methods to get advertising consent:
Log into your Superchat account and go to your Inbox
Click on Campaigns in the top navigation menu
This will take you directly to the Campaign Overview
Click on Opt-In Methods on the left hand side
Then, click on New Method
Choose an Internal Name for the opt-in method
This name is for internal use only and will not be visible to your customers
Define a suitable Keyword (example: NEWSLETTER)
This keyword will later be used by your customers to subscribe.
Type up a short Welcome / Confirmation message.
Those messages will be sent automatically once a customer has opted in by sending the previously defined keyword.
Click on Create and the opt-in method will be listed under Opt-In Methods.
