Availability Requests 🇬🇧
Updated over a week ago

⚠️ Note: This feature is currently only available in the UK 🇬🇧

Group Admins can create an Availability Request in the Spond App to check which players are available before creating an event and inviting the players. This is an awesome tool if you want to see player availability before setting up a match.

  • Perfect for coaches and admins with more than one team to oversee.

  • Only visible to the players you want to share the Availability Request with.

  • A simple and effective solution to the matchday dilemmas of who to pick.

  • Keep track of responses and chase up players who haven't replied.

Creating an Availability Request in the Spond App is quick and simple, and can save you hours of chasing with emails, phones calls and messages.

It's even better for coaches with multiple teams, who now have a simpler, less stressful way to know who goes in which squad on days with more than one match.

Events from Availability Requests

How to create events from Availability Requests

Once the response to your Availability Request have been received, so you know who is available to play and who isn't, it's time to set up the match event (or multiple matches) and pick the players you want for each squad.

  • Open the Availability Request

  • Scroll down to the blue callout and press 'Select people and create event'

  • When selecting recipients for the event, the members will be divided into sections:

    • Available

    • Unanswered

    • Declined

    • Other (Players who weren't included in the original availability request)

      • This last option makes it easy to only invite players who have set themselves as available, or include other players if necessary

  • Once you have selected your recipients, go ahead and set up the event as normal.

It is also possible to message the non-selected members by scrolling down to "Created events" inside the availability request, and then press "message non-selected recipients".
