Cancellation Fees and General Fine Policy

Updated over 2 months ago

Below you’ll find SnappCar’s fine policy. This policy is part of the SnappCar Terms & Conditions and applies to all transactions and rental agreements made via the SnappCar platform.

Fines are intended to cover all or part of the costs incurred due to misconduct and/or violations of SnappCar’s rules.

Fines are imposed and collected by, and paid to, SnappCar. Note: fines are not eligible for reimbursement to owners. In certain cases, a payout may be made to the owner, but SnappCar is not obligated to do so. Any goodwill gesture is determined case-by-case by our SnappCar Community Support team.

Processing Traffic Fines

Fines are first submitted by the owner. Renters must pay directly to the owner. If no payment is made, the owner may escalate the fine to SnappCar. The above processing fees then apply.

How Are These Costs Collected?

All fines and fees are automatically debited from the bank account linked to your SnappCar profile. By accepting the Terms & Conditions, you authorize SnappCar to collect these amounts.

For deductibles, you’ll receive an invoice detailing the amount due.

SnappCar reserves the right to waive or reduce fines at its discretion. If a fine is (partially) intended for the owner, SnappCar is not obligated to pay that amount to the owner.
