All tech supplied by Sky Protect is yours to keep after the cooling off period. Which is the first 31 days from policy start date. If you cancel within this period, you'll be asked to return the tech free of charge. However, there will be a non-return charge if the tech isn't returned.

If you decide to cancel after this window, you’ll have to pay an early termination charge which only applies in your first term. You can keep your devices, but you’ll miss out on certain smart service features that come with your Smart Home Insurance policy. These include:

  • Securely storing videos in the cloud for up to 30 days, downloading and sharing your clips.

  • Getting alerts to your phone when someone is at your door with your Video Doorbell.

  • Getting alerts to your phone when movement or sound is detected with your Indoor Camera, when the app is set to ‘armed’.

  • Auto Arming, which activates your devices when you leave home and deactivates them when you return

  • Security Scheduling which lets you set specific times for your home to arm and disarm automatically.

  • Incident escalation so you get texted and called if a water leak is detected and you miss the first alert. If there’s still no response, we also notify your emergency contact.

  • Emergency contact, so if anything goes wrong and you’re not available, we can contact them.

  • Getting help through our live chat in the Sky Protect app and speaking directly to one of our agents.

You’ll also miss out on our Extended 12-month warranty on your Sky Protect Tech bundle. If you cancel your policy, the warranty will end.
