Leak Sensor notifications.

The spoiler alerts you’ll welcome

Increased humidity or temperatures could be a sign of leaking pipes or even faulty appliances. Here’s how to get the alerts you want from your Leak Sensors. It could stop a little problem becoming a bigger issue.

  • Tap on the icon of the installed device within the home screen of the Sky Protect app

  • Tap on the settings cog in the top right-hand corner

  • You’ll find the controls to adjust both alert settings

  • Adjust your preferred ranges for humidity and temperature. Now you can enable alerts, so you’ll know if the Leak Sensors detect anything higher or lower than this.

Notifications

Leak Sensors will notify you of a leak regardless of the home being ‘armed’. So, you should never miss an alert.

You’ll need to ‘allow notifications’ for the Sky Protect app in your smartphone's settings. You can do this when prompted as you first install the app, but you can update your notifications any time.

Apple devices

  • Go to your ‘settings’ app.

  • Select ‘notifications’.

  • Find the Sky Protect app in the list and select.

  • Toggle on to ‘allow notifications’.

We would also recommend allowing all alerts such as lock screen, notification centre and banners. That way you should never miss an alert.

Android devices

  • Go to your ‘settings’ app.

  • Select ‘notifications’.

  • Choose ‘app settings’.

  • Select ‘all apps’.

  • Find the Sky Protect app and select.

  • Choose ‘allow notifications’.

Adjusting temperature and humidity settings

You’ll be able to set your temperature and humidity settings for your Leak Sensors. This can measure and detect moisture or heat that could point to faulty pipes or appliances.

  • Tap on the Leak Sensor icon on the home screen of the Sky Protect app (it appears when your Leak Sensors are installed).

  • Tap on the settings cog in the top right-hand corner.

  • You’ll find the controls to adjust both alert settings

If you keep alerts enabled, you’ll get a notification when the measured temperature or humidity falls below or climbs past the range you set.
